I purchased a Toro 20655 mower last week and have never been so disappointed in a mower. I bought it from B&Q and at no time was I told that it was unsuitable for cutting lawns. It is more use in cutting long grass. It cannot take the heads of daisies or clover. I put it on the lowest setting and all I see on my lawn is the tyre marks. It has been a disaster of a purchase. When I went back to the shop to complain about the performance I was told by an assistant that none of their petrol lawnmowers could give a nice cut for a lawn and that some people like their lawn grass long! There should be some notice on these mowers telling customers that they are unsuitable for lawns and are more use in, say, paddocks. I am now talking to the shop to arrange a refund as the machine is not suitable for the purpose of cutting lawns. The adjustment of the blade does not come low enough to do a decent job. A friend next door has a Honda and it does a splendid job. I wish I had bought one like his.

I too have just purchased this mower.
The self propelled system cable snapped off the plastic tab! To add to this comedy one of the front wheels rolled off on it’s first run!
Back to the shop it goes!
Quality.
